They must obtain a SEARCH WARRANT from a JUDGE?

Probable cause means there is a crime. And was there a reason for the police to believe there is a crime currently taking place? 

The Fourth Amendment is the section of the Constitution that addresses search and seizure.

If the police search your belongings without a warrant then your rights to privacy have been violated.

Tell the JUDGE and your lawyer that you expect your rights to privacy be protected.

What good is the 4th Amendment if you are not stating you expect your right to privacy.

I had some trouble getting legal information when I needed it the most. The NOLO books are available in the public library and these books helped me find the legal information I needed.

I found the NOLO books where in the public library.  The book that I am currently referencing is 18th Edition NOLO Solve Your Money Troubles , Strategies to Get Out of Debt and Stay that Way.

NOLO as a LEGAL REFERENCE GUIDE - OCTOBER 2022 STUDENT LOANS

President Joe Biden early in 2021 , extended student loan repayment until at least September 30, 2022. Then again he extended payment until December 31, 2022.  This applies to Federal Student loans owned by the US Department of Education. This includes FFEL (Federal Family Education Loans) owned by the US Department of Education and Direct Loans.

I do have a FFEL loan but it is not owned by the US Department of Education. Originally it was owned by the US Department of Education (1998) but I consolidated the loan in 2003.

During the payment suspension period which began March 13, 2020. The loan servicer required I continue to update the IDR forms yearly.  As well the loan continued to accrue interest.

One important question, the loan servicer advises me to consolidate this loan again. What type of loan will it be? Will the loan capitalize the interest if I consolidate?

How to Name Your Resume and Cover Letter

The information that I read was applicants were rejected based on how they used naming conventions for resumes and cover letters.

In any event getting advice from THE BALANCE is what decision I made before sending out my next job application.  Use your name, possibly add the job title and make sure to use capital letters.

YourNameCoverLetter_JobTitle

One step further would be to include the company name.

A no - no is to call your document myRESUME or just plain resume.

APRIL is Financial Literacy Month: The 28th of April is Hill Day

April is a month-long campaign to raise public awareness about the importance of financial literacy.  

Hill Day is April 28 is an opportunity for the financial literacy community raise awareness on Capitol Hill. 

The Getting Ahead Program

I joined this Getting Ahead Program by taking a class for 12 weeks at a local church in Schenectady NY.  Our inside economic view of the class structure in the US, is on a person by person basis.  My own place in society was effected by unemployment.

The Getting Ahead Program wants to address the following: Poverty is getting worse. More and more people are slipping into situational poverty due to loss of employment, low wages, health issues, or other circumstances. Communities, agencies, and entities around the country—and world—are taking action to help people escape “the tyranny of the moment” and take control of their lives.

This course helped me work through how to assess my current resources, then make plans to rebuild my life by setting goals and measuring results.  Making plans for change, setting SMART goals that address all 11 resources including, financial, emotional, physical, social capital, integrity / trust, motivation / persistance, language, knowledge of hidden rules, role models / relationships , mental cognitive, and spiritual.
